Our Story

Hi! It’s Tim here and I’m the founder of MePlate.

I’m also a firm believer that the world doesn’t need more products — what it does need is better solutions to existing problems.

So at MePlate our goal is two-fold; to leave the world a better place than we found it; and people better off than before they found us.

So we set out to create a considered solution to what we saw as some major issues around our weight control and the planet. 

At the same time, at every step, we balanced quality, sustainability, function and design.

So let’s break it down:

❌ Problem: 3/4 of us are obese or over-weight.


✅ Solution: Our reusable ergonomically designed eat-less plate is based on scientific research. You can take it with you, wherever your day takes meaning meal control will always be on hand, where you need it. Using MePlate will empower you to control your weight.

❌ Problem: By 2022, production and consumption of food will be one of the biggest causes of global warming.

✅ Solution: Our MePlate will help lower food consumption and that can mean less food production and less damage to the Earth’s atmosphere.

❌ Problem: 60% of plates offered at eateries are not fully cleaned and breed germs.

✅ Solution: Our MePlate puts you in control of your hygiene. You can ensure it’s been thoroughly washed and cleaned and no one else’s germs are on it.

❌ Problem: 95% of our office thinks standard plates look boring. You might too.

✅ Solution: Our MePlates are a fusion of science and art. They come in a variety of cool designs, look great and make every meal interesting and fulfilling… I could continue, but I can promise you, we’ve thought about everything, again and again. You can ask us anything else here too.
